Final product and feedback
Shriek! (draft 3) -
This is my final version going to be evaluated and get one final feedback assessment via google forms im going to ask what they think of it and any final changed that should be implemented to make it better overall. After conducting the forms I will adjust and adhere all the recommended changed, if there are any, and make fit them into draft 3 calling the final version or draft 4.
Final feedback -
This was all the feedback I got via google forms which was more than enough since i was only expecting minor suggestions, nothing too major everyone rating went up slightly which is a good thing I never expected a ten out of ten but getting near that is something im happy with. My product is a bit messy and I understandable peoples opinions and concerns for the film. For instance in the positve or negative question most of the people agreed in favour of it being positive and acknowledging that I tried and did everything I could to make the product as good as possible but some saw the product as negative saying i can do more and ''plan and film more'' I actually agree. Sadly I rushed this project slightly in some areas more than others causing an uneven and to some dissapointing film. I have tried to make the best it can be overall still. With the negative feedback comments I will take those suggestions on board and apply them to my next projects and plan and carefully dedicate my full attention to not repeat my current mistakes. Moving on to the final suggestions question some people said the product was find on its own. Could be better but overall good and doesnt need anything more. Some suggested adding a log and shortening the black at the end. I wanted to take on any suggestion I had so thats what I did. Whilst there wasnt many suggestions in the first place I still wanted to fully dedicate my time to making the product great and with these two final suggestions and feedback I will be putting them into a new preimere pro project called draft 4 or final version. That will be the final version ready to be assessed and uploaded via youtube.
My process into creating Shriek! (draft 4) (final version) -
Firstly I hopped on premier pro and got to work with the feedback one of the main suggestions was to cut down the excess black a bit so thats what I did I went across the timeline. I went to cut it out a decent amount along across to the end. This was a uneccasary that was filling the run time for no reason. The suggested feedback made this change overall better and even if it was a slight adjustment jumps the quality from good to better.
After I went into my file explorer and went into dowloads yesterday I dowloaded both of these images to experiment and try out them out in the drafts. I didnt manage to try the logo out due to time and space but in the suggested feedback people wanted in the final version so dowloading it was the right call after all. After I dragged the right image (logo) in to the premier pro project panel box and this allowed me to drag the logo as many time as as i want. Without doing this I could just leave it on timline and not save it properly.
After dragging into premier pro I cut the first credit sequence at the start to fit in to the logo. After messing around with spacing i finally got it to fit and the length/duration Then I went to the left panel to edit the scale of the product but I looked at the timeline again and realized that the audio was gone and i thought maybe it wasnt there or the audio doesnt start there. I pressed conrol + z to delete my steps slowly and see what was the proplem then I was at the beginning and i saw the proplem the video wasnt unlinked sadly after using the cut tool I deleted without thinking. This time i made sure to unlink before cutting and getting rid of that segment so i could keep the audio. Im glad i noticed this because the video would appear sloppy and out of sync. After I went back into the effect controls tab and slowly increased the size of the logo until I was happy with the overall size I wanted it to fill the box so people can get a good look at it. I landed on scale - 414.0 and the position didnt change at all just messed with the scale of the product since thats what was needed.
Once the audio track was back in I realized i never added a cross dissolve on the first bit this was a stupid mistake becasue the music just starts abruptly and Im glad i noticed this because such a small detail can diminish it fully. After I added a cross dissolve to both the start and end of the log since its broad white I didnt want it to just appear out of thin air I wanted a smooth and nice transition throughout. I watched over the first 10 seconds and loved it but I kept noticing something when watching It was showing the backround credits for some reason and that was not good I was confused since maybe I didnt cut it properly but I Realized the transition is fudging up the speed of the clips and making it transition wierdly. This wasnt good at all so i simply just removed the cross dissolve at the end of the logo and just moved it through to the start of the clip that fixed the issue.
In this image you can see the transition movied along to the clips this not only fixed the issue but actually made the overall transition better I also noticed the frames were a little wierd towards the end of the logo this was either due to the sheer size of how much i zoomed in or just becasuse it wasnt rendered properly but I took as a positive anyway.
This was the final step in premiere pro I was finally close to the finish line. The final step was to make sure the settings were good and in check. Messing this was could be a stupid mistake so close to the end so I didnt rush it. After that I just watched the film once last time to make sure everything was okay and once it was I began exporting whilst that was done. I was getting youtube ready once it was done. The video took around about 20 mins to export and once it was done I dragged into the folder with all of my other finished drafts, incase I needed them again, After I went on to youtube and uploaded the video and selected the unlisted option which allows me more control over the film. After I finally added the final version to the blog. Done finally with all of the editing and suggestions closing the book finally and starting my evaluation.
Shriek! (Draft 4) (Final version) -
This is the final version I am very happy with all the feedback I was assessed I chose to implement all the ones i could and mention Some I cant. Overall the product has went through 4 and nearly 5 drafts and I am happy with the overall project and my progress getting to this stage. The project is nearly done. Onto the evaluation!
