Pre production resoruces

This is my entire process of me pre production showing and talking about each element and process of my journey to coming up with ideas, plans and outcomes of the desired film. It was a messy long and back and fourth process I went from drafts with the script. Excess storyboard and a whole lot of ideas all was excuted onto the planning stage in this blog post.

Script - first draft -

 

This was my first draft of my script. I had ideas of making the film longer and overall more jam packed I soon realized with deadlines and possibility (student film) it would require so much resources that I don't have access to and the final product would have came out messy and all over the place. 

With that being said I looked at my first script and learnt from it, I decided to rewrite the entire thing with new characters and character types with more detail and overall easier and simpler story. I did this for two reasons. Time and possibility with the first script I had many ideas of blood and gore and practical effects but that quickly became impossible and far too much hassle to attempt so rewriting the script was a must need for me as the director but the entire cast. I kept core elements. in the second draft to not go too far off the line from my research I wanted to keep the heart and idea afloat across the newer version but still make necessary and better overall changes.

Script - second (final) draft -

This was my second and final draft improving on writing, spacing, time, location, characters, grammar and overall feel. this version is more tone downed but more possible with actual film. 

Pre production resources -

I forgot to add my risk assessment in it wasnt in my pre production folder when I went to scan all of my resoureces so I used genius scan which is a phone app that allows people to scan documents more proffesionally and quickly without needing a printer which i didnt have accsess to at the time. this was a crucial part of pre production without i woudnt know what the risks could possibly be and how to elimate said risks.

These are my pre production resources including storyboards, release form, contribute form, resource list, location release, and location contribute form.

I also included some mock ups of some poster idea's I had for the film roughly outlining what they could look like I wanted to create and add more pre production ''drawing'' elements in my work as I was working towards.
